In order to provide a safe environment for both web-masters and translators, we require that every user submit an identity document.
These identity documents are used by staff members only and are not viewable by other users.
Why do we ask that?
ICanLocalize is used as a payment processor, charging money from webmasters and paying translators. When you pay or get paid, it is very important that your identity be verified in order to reduce the risks which are inherent to electronic commerce.
You will need to scan an identity document which shows that you are the person you say you are. Your registered name must match what appears in the document that you send us.
Once you have that, log in to your ICanLocalize account, click on the ‘My Account’ tab and select ‘Identity Verification’. You will be asked to enter the title of the document and select the scanned document from your hard drive.
How long does it take?
Normally, we can review your document within a day.
